Hopefully you slept well and are ready for the big day. In preparation, you have filled your carbohydrate stores well and also drunk enough the day before. Now it’s all about maintaining your energy levels and getting to the start without unnecessary ballast.

Ideally, you should eat your last large meal around 3-5 hours before the start. A small snack 1-3 hours before the start is also possible. For the right BOOST, you can take a high dose of caffeine 60 minutes before the start. Now you’re ready to go.

If you eat too much or eat foods that are difficult to digest shortly before the start, your body will be primarily occupied with digestion and it is likely that you will set off on the run with a full stomach. This means that such as bloating are inevitable.

However, you should avoid hunger at all costs and thus ensure that your stores are not depleted prematurely.

The same applies to your fluid intake: you should definitely maintain your optimum hydration status, as even small fluid deficits reduce your performance.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO

A medium portion of white pasta with tomato sauce, a rice dish or bread, potatoes and corn are suitable as the last large meal (3-5 hours before the start). Of course, you can also consume 220 g of FUEL with 1 litre of water or a large portion of RELOAD, as with carboloading.

Sports drinks are particularly useful in the last 1-3 hours before the start. Alternatively, Biberli, bars or light-coloured rolls are a good choice.

In the last 60 minutes before the start, caffeine can be taken to boost performance. The physiologically effective dose is 3-6 mg per kg body weight. The perfect product at this time is our BOOST.
