Delivery conditions for T-shirts, bidon and shakers

We do not do product return for t-shirts, bidon and shakers.

Best before date (BBD) of NA® products

The BBD indicates the date up to which our products can be consumed at least or in any case without significant loss of taste and quality, provided that they are stored properly (in particular, that the storage temperature specified in connection with the best-before date is maintained). The BBD is indicated on each package and is determined by NA® for each production of a product. As a rule, all NA® products can be consumed beyond the BBD without hesitation, e.g. if you have forgotten a can in the kitchen cupboard ? (keyword Food Waste). If the BBD is exceeded, this does not automatically mean that a product is no longer edible. For reasons of transparency, we explicitly point out in the NA® Shop if the BBD is less than four months in the future.

Consumption recommendation

NA® does not generally recommend that children take its products. The consumption recommendations indicated on the products are intended for average, healthy adults. If a product states that it should be kept out of the reach of (small) children, this is a safety warning according to applicable law. Conversely, this does not mean that products without this notice should be consumed by children without prior clarification by a professional such as a doctor or pharmacist.

NA® products for consumption are food or dietary supplements , so the responsibility for their use lies with you. However, we strongly advise you to follow the individual consumption recommendations indicated on the packaging.

When used responsibly, especially for athletes, the normal diet can be usefully supplemented with NA® products. However, our products as such are not a substitute for a balanced diet.

If one of our products contains additional vitamins, minerals or other substances with nutritional or physiological effects, we expressly indicate this on the packaging in accordance with legal requirements and, if necessary, provide specific warnings that must be taken into account (e.g. in the case of caffeine).

NA® does not offer nutritional advice. Please consult a trusted professional for all questions that are not answered by the information on the products themselves.

How can it be that a vegan product says: “May contain traces of milk, [egg, …]”?

Legal background of the trace declaration
Even on vegan foods, the statement “May contain traces” can often be found under the list of ingredients. If these traces are milk or egg, the question is obvious why those foods are nevertheless declared and recognized as vegan.

First of all, the note “May contain traces” serves as a legal safeguard for the manufacturing company. During the production process of a foodstuff, traces of other foodstuffs may be transferred unintentionally but technically unavoidably. With such information, companies are primarily targeting allergy sufferers who react to even the smallest contamination with an allergen in question.

The cause of the trace indication lies in production
If a product bears the indication “May contain traces”, this usually means that the recipe does not provide for this ingredient, but that it is used in the manufacturing plant for other products. Therefore, unintentional and technically unavoidable introductions of milk, egg or other animal ingredients into plant-based foods may occur in production when different products are made on the same machine.

Despite good manufacturing practice with numerous hygiene measures for cleaning the production machines, minute amounts of the previous product can remain on the equipment and be processed in a new production. Milk powder, for example, can easily get onto other foods through numerous other routes of contamination, such as air or personnel. These incidental inputs, while regularly checked by the laboratory, can fluctuate.

Traces do not contradict the basic vegan idea
The majority of vegan living people usually reject products only if the animal ingredients are intentionally, knowingly and regularly added as ingredients. Also according to the consumer center, foods that may contain unintentional traces of animal products are considered vegan. The deciding factor is whether an animal ingredient has been deliberately added as an ingredient – and is therefore co-financed at the time of purchase – or has unintentionally entered the product. Buying food that may theoretically contain traces of milk or egg does not contribute to the increased use of animals, waste of resources, or harm to the environment. Therefore, vegan products with trace labeling are tolerated by the majority of vegan people.

Position of the V-Label on “May contain traces”.
An all-inclusive animal-free production is practically impossible. Products with the label “may contain traces” therefore also meet the criteria of the V-Label, provided that animal ingredients were not intentionally added during the entire production process. Corresponding prerequisites for a V-label claim are that all necessary precautions are taken to clean up the production facilities in order to avoid animal traces in plant-based foods as far as possible. Separation in time or space also reduces possible trace inputs in production. The licensor conducts regular inspections and laboratory testing for compliance as needed.

Food remains vegan even with trace labeling
Purely plant-based foods that have been produced without the use of animal substances and only bear the label “May contain traces of milk” or “May contain traces of egg” are vegan. The precautionary labeling does not mean that animal ingredients are actually present in the final product. It merely makes it clear that minute amounts of traces that could be relevant to the health of allergy sufferers may occur unintentionally.

Answers on the subject of sustainability and recycling of NA® products

100% Swiss Made

All our products are 100% Swiss Made. Our ingredients, whenever available domestically in the desired NA® quality, are also from Switzerland.

CMF and Grass-Fed

We attach great importance to species-appropriate animal husbandry. If available in the desired quality, our milk proteins come from fresh pasture milk (Grass-Fed).
CFM means Cross Flow Microfiltration. This gentle manufacturing process allows the highest possible preservation and concentration of the valuable protein fractions and is particularly gentle. As a result, the proteins remain biologically active. That is why NA® uses CFM Whey Isolate.

UTZ certified

The cocoa in the optimized Swiss Chocolate flavors comes from sustainable production. The cocoa is UTZ certified. NUTRIATHLETIC® is working with UTZ to improve sustainable cocoa farming. Our goal is to improve the living conditions of farmers, workers and their families, preserve nature and protect the environment. www.rainforest-alliance.org/utz/

BPA free

All products are filled in BPA free packaging.

100% Swiss recycled PET

The new NA® Sports Water bottles are made from 100% recycled PET.

Recycling of PE cans

The cans including lids can be disposed of together with the white PE milk bottles at many retailers. In addition, most waste disposal companies accept plastic packaging.

2020 – The future of NA® packaging

We are currently working on a new packaging solution that delivers what it promises – namely 100% sustainability.

Today’s stand-up pouches with aluminum coating are hardly recyclable or only recyclable with great effort. Since the stand-up pouches are made of different materials such as plastic and aluminum, they must first be separated from each other in a time-consuming and not environmentally friendly process.

Although the stand-up pouch looks sustainable on the outside and enjoys a better image, it is more harmful to the environment. For this reason, we abandon this variant of stand-up pouch and use the classic PE can, as it is still more “sustainable”, since it is sorted by type. – NO BULLSHIT.
